It turns out that when your friends know you are starting a gifting intelligence company, you suddenly become the go-to resource for any occasion.
It’s actually pretty cool because these impromptu asks are incredibly valuable as we test and refine our methodology and algorithms.
This happened just this weekend when one of our advisors sent me a frantic note on Friday night. She said, “Bridget, I need help. I need a special gift for a friend and am totally out of ideas.” She sent me a few notes about her friend: she likes jewelry, interior decor (modern glam), working out, cooking and loves wine. She noted that her friend is trying to develop an edgier sense of style and generally appreciates the finer things in life. My friend noted her budget was around $150, but was flexible.
Of course I was so happy to help. “Perfect,” I replied, “Let me send you a list.” I was excited to see how close I could get to styles she would be happy to give. I was beyond thrilled when she emailed me back and said the choices were amazing – all things that she would love to give and that she never would have thought to buy without To&From’s help.
